Edward is the Privacy Architect for Sovy, a regulatory technology startup that works to simplify and automate data protection compliance for small-to-medium-sized businesses. His work focuses on designing automated tools and strategies to guide laypersons and businesses through understanding GDPR rights and requirements, from performing risk assessments and data audits to creating transparent and readable privacy policies. He also acts as an independent consultant and writer on data protection and privacy, most recently as a contributing author of The International Guide to Cybersecurity (American Bar Association, forthcoming). Edward earned his B.S. in International Relations from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, and his M.Sc. from Oxford University’s Internet Institute.
