Ariane Kleijwegt is an award-winning journalist from the Netherlands holding a European Journalism fellowship at the Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently researching the changing role and acceptance of whistleblowing in democratic societies with a focus on German as the financial and political powerhouse of Europe. Her stories have been published in NRC Handelsblad, Het Financieele Dagblad and Financial Times Deutschland.
