Annamária Torbó is the editor of the Hungarian EJO website. She received her MA degree in Communication and Media Studies in 2015 at the University of Pécs, then began her PhD studies with the Language and Communication Doctoral Programme. One of her main fields of research is popular culture (particularly movies and TV series), and the connection between media texts and fan communities. Her PhD research focuses on a contemporary pop-cultural phenomenon: young adult fiction. Annamária is also interested in international journalism trends and journalism skills related to new media. She is currently working as an assistant research fellow at the Department of Communication and Media Studies, University of Pécs and is carrying out research into international journalistic projects. She is also the project coordinator of the “New skills for the next generation of journalists” (NEWSREEL) project funded by the European Union.
