Mevan Babakar is the Head of Automated Factchecking at Full Fact, the UK’s independent factchecking organisation. Mevan joined Full Fact in 2014 after working at Cancer Research. She helped build Bite the Ballot where she launched Britain’s first ever National Voter Registration Day. She graduated with a Masters in Bioengineering from the University of Sheffield.
