Jørgen Skrubbeltrang is an anthropologist with a PhD in Journalism from Roskilde University (2014). The PhD-dissertation is an anthropological investigation of Danish correspondents in the Middle East. The research deals with one of the basic assumptions of foreign correspondence – that presence creates credibility – and challenges the perception of the correspondent as an eyewitness. He focuses on journalistic praxis and the creation of reality.
