Adam Szynol of the University of Wroclaw examines the effects of Passauer Neue Presse and Orkla Media on the Polish daily press market. Szynol discusses the achievements of the rival media companies, focusing on the expansion of foreign capital in local markets and the eventual merger established between the two enterprises.  According to Szynol, a new window may be open in the Polish press market.
