Dimitrina Jivkova Semova holds a PhD in Journalism from UCM. She is an Associate Professor at the Facultad de Ciencias de la Información (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), teaching courses in Ethics and Deontology, Political Communication, and Communication Theory. Her recent research projects focus on political, environmental, and social activism, as well as information traceability. From 2017 to 2020, she coordinated the Jean Monnet Module on Public Service Broadcasting in Europe. During the same period, she was part of the team for the European project Artivism (France, Hungary, Spain, UK). She currently coordinates the European project *ñGreen Artivism (Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Slovenia), which focuses on environmental activism through art. She is also the initiator and coordinator of the Spanish platform for the European Journalism Observatory.
