Tina Bettels, born in 1980, is a researcher at the Erich Brost Institute for international journalism in Dortmund, Germany, and responsible for the German Web site. She spent three years living in Australia, where she lectured on media at the University of Adelaide. Before moving to Australia, she studied online journalism at the University for Applied Sciences in Darmstadt, Germany, and worked as an online editor for a trade magazine.
