Dariya Orlova
Dariya Orlova is the EJO’s Ukrainian Web Editor and a PhD candidate in Mass Communication at the Mohyla School of Journalism. She received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in political science (National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy). Dariya is teaching a “Theory of Media Culture” course for MA students of Journalism at the MSJ. Her research interests include media discourse, mediatization of political communication and media transformations in transition countries. Apart from her academic engagement, she has worked as a journalist for the English-language weekly newspaper, Kyiv Post, for two years. She also has experience in editing and translating news materials gained during her work as a part-time translator and editor for the project “EU News Service and Information Materials for Media in Ukraine and Belarus”.
