Colin Porlezza
Colin Porlezza was born August 12, 1978, in Zürich, Switzerland. A research assistant for the Communication Sciences faculty at the Università della Svizzera italiana, Colin is a regular collaborator of the European Journalism Observatory. Additionally, he heads the Journalism Studies branch of the Swiss Association of Communication and Media Research and works as a freelancer for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and other German-language media. Presently, Colin is working on his dissertation entitled, “Bridges over the Chinese Wall – Newsrooms and the Focus on Economic and Journalistic Interests.” His research interests are concentrated on the various relationships among journalism, advertising, public relations, media economy and jouranlistic quality management.
