Boguslawa Dobek-Ostrowska
Boguslawa Dobek-Ostrowska, PhD, is a professor at the Institute of Political Science, University of Wroclaw and chair of the Department of Communication and Journalism. She specializes in political communication and comparative media systems. Among her numerous publications are articles and books dedicated to Polish media systems, political communication and election coverage, the development of media in Central and Eastern Europe, and the professionalization of journalism in Poland. Dobek-Ostrowska engages in Polish as well as international scientific associations, e.g. as founder and president of the Polish Communication Association and member of the International Communication Association. She is editor of the Polish Communication Association’s journal, the Central European Journal of Communication, the University of Wroclaw’s Communication and Mass Media, and Series in Communication Sciences published by Adam Marszalek Press.
